A woman with her baby are waiting at the Nigerian Consulate for free flight back to Nigeria.
She said that she lost all her belongings to the xenophobic attack in South Africa and left with nothing.
A Nigerian woman with her baby have been seen camping at the Nigerian Consulate in Sandton, South Africa,eagerly waiting for free transportation to the airport and where she would board free flight back to her country.
Ekohotblog garnered that the young mother had been spending the night at the Nigerian Consulate with her child.
“I have nowhere to go after my apartment had been razed by the rampaging xenophobic attackers.
“I did not have any money of my own with which to rent another accommodation so I decided to camp on the steps of the Nigerian Consulate until the next flight,”she said.

The woman said, “I’m leaving South Africa because of the fight and it affect my area a lot.
“They burnt all the shops, some houses and even my flat. They came there. So I just have to leave.”
About 600 Nigerians in south Africa have agreed to return home. The first batch of returnees landed in Nigeria on Wednesday.
And the second flight, scheduled to take off on Thursday, saw a number of delays; and it is currently unclear when the next flight to Nigeria will be.
