EKO HOT BLOG reports that the National President of Lagos Focus and Founder of Gabous Peace and Humanitarian Foundation, Dr Mrs Yetunde Akinluyi, has congratulated the former Lagos State Governor, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his victory at the just concluded All Progressives Congress, APC, Convention held at the Eagle Square, Abuja.
The Peace and Humanitarian services advocate joined millions of teeming supporters of the national APC leader to commemorate his exceptional victory over other contestants as he polled 1, 271 votes.
According to Mrs Akinluyi, the historic accomplishment was a pointer to the fact that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is a detribalized Nigerian whose decades of sacrifices towards the socio-economic and sociopolitical advancement of the country were hugely rewarded.
She, however, appealed for synergy stressing that the victory cannot be complete without closing ranks with all and sundry.
“The heartwarming victory of our progressive national leader, one of Nigeria’s detribalised politicians, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is payback for decades of his monumental contributions to the social, economic and political advancement of the most populous black nation in the world, Nigeria”
“This is more interesting, especially with the fact that while some aspirants who trusted the leadership acumen of the Jagaban Borgu stepped down, delegates from all sections of Nigeria’s geopolitical zones in the APC spoke with their ballots in a free, fair and credible election under the phenomenal leadership and watch of President Muhammadu Buhari. It was a good step that there was no ‘Consensus’ candidate.
“While our continuous support towards realising the BAT Presidency come 2023 is unflinching, we humbly appeal to our amiable father and leader, a reputable symbol of progressive politics, to close ranks and continue to be the unifier that he is to forge a formidable team,” the statement said.
