Ekohotblog, November 7, 2020

Nigerian youths have lambasted the Nigeria Government following an ex-parte suit to freeze the bank accounts of 20 EndSARS promoters.

Ekohotblog confirmed yesterday that the CBN governor, Godwin Emefiele, had filed a suit against 20 social media influencers.

The suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/1384/2020 listed the 20 defendants as – Bolatito Oduala, Chima Ibebunjoh, Mary Kpengwa, Gatefield Nigeria Limited, Saadat Bibi, Bassey Israel, Wisdom Obi, Nicholas Osazele, Ebere Idibie, Akintomide Yusuf, Uhuo Promise, Mosopefoluwa Odeseye, and Adegoke Pamilerin Emmanuel.

Others include Umoh Ekanem, Babatunde Segun, Mulu Teghenan, Mary Oshifowora, Winifred Jacob, Victor Solomon, and Idunu Williams.

He also requested that their bank accounts be withheld for a duration of 90 days until investigations are completed.

Nigerians youths took to social media to lament the oppression in the country and the use of government resources on misplaced priorities.

The social media users fired the government for oppressing the youths over a peaceful protest targeted to bring change into the country.

“CBN knows how to freeze bank accounts of Nigerian Youths asking for a better Nigeria but cannot freeze the bank accounts of corrupt politicians embezzling funds meant to develop the country.

Yeye dey smell!,” comedian Mr. Macaroni wrote on Twitter.
