Yobe Raped 97-Year-Old Woman Speaks, Says She Last Had S3x 40 Years Ago

A 97-year-old woman who was sexually violated by a 35-year-old man in Yobe State has lamented the horrible event, saying no man has slept with her in the last 40 years.
It was gathered that the old aged woman, whose name is withheld, was violently raped inside her home in Gadaka, Fika local government area of Yobe State.

Narrating her ordeal to newsmen at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Damaturu, the state capital on Tuesday, the 97-year-old woman said the suspect invaded her home in February 2021 and violently raped her.

It was gathered that the old aged woman, whose name is withheld, was violently raped inside her home in Gadaka, Fika local government area of the state by one Mohammed Faruk.

The 97-year-old woman further alleged that Faruk beat her up and broke two of her teeth before raping her.

The spokesperson of the state police command, Dungus Abdulkarim, while confirming the incident to newsmen, said the suspect has since confessed to the crime and has been arraigned before a magistrate court where he was ordered to be remanded in police custody.
