Popular singer Peter Okoye, known as Mr. P, has responded to accusations from his twin brother and former bandmate, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy), alleging he stole a song.
Recently, Rudeboy claimed that he had written and recorded a song titled “Winning,” intended for release with his upcoming album. However, he was surprised to discover that Mr. P had already released the track with their former producer, Vampire.
Reacting on Instagram, Mr. P denied the accusations, stating that one cannot steal what already belongs to them. He explained that the song was a collaboration between himself and Calypso60, both in writing and composition.
He added, “A person cannot steal his own property. ‘Winning’ was written and composed by @calypso60music and myself, produced by @iam_vampire_official, with co-production by @goldswarm. They all deserve their credit.”
Mr. P also urged his brother to stop the negativity and let him focus on his music. “As I said in my open letter three months ago, let me do my music in peace. Now that I have a new single out, please let me enjoy it. Enough of the negativity,” he wrote.
He encouraged fans to continue streaming “Winning,” now available on all platforms, and not to be swayed by the controversy, signing off with “Love y’all, peace.”
