‘Your Heroic Efforts Created Lifelong Memories’ — Epe Kayokayo Festival Commitee Writes Donors

  • The weeklong festival witnessed a rich variety of Epe’s cultural excellence.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the Epe Kayokayo festival planning committee has written the donors and sponsors of the 2023 edition, appreciating them for their kind gesture towards the success of the programme.

In a letter signed by the committee’s coordinator, Otunba TJ Abass, he said the donors made heroic efforts that created lifelong memories.

“Dear Esteemed Donors/Sponsors, we hereby express our unreserved gratitude for your selfless contribution toward the success of the recently concluded Kayokayo Festival,” the letter reads.

“Each year’s edition of the event comes with its peculiar challenges, but once again, we were able to weather the storm in large part due to your unflinching support towards this noble cause.

“Kayokayo Festival, as we know it, is more than just an ensemble of sparkling lights and enchanting performances; it is the embodiment of community spirit. It stands as a testament to the beautiful harmony that comes from individuals like you, who devote themselves to the symphony of the greater good; and you have demonstrated this in no insignificant measure.

“Kayokayo 2023 now resides in the realm of memories, and it is the heroic efforts of the likes of you that have breathed life into these memories, propelling us forward as we chart new courses for the shared journey of the good people of Epe. Thank you once again.”

The 2023 Kayokayo festival witnessed several events, including prayer programmes, Quranic recitation contest, novelty match, youth rally, children’s party, cultural parades, music performances, amongst others.
