EKO HOT BLOG reports that Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communication to Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 PDP presidential candidate, has disputed the claim by Nyesom Wike, the immediate past Rivers State Governor, that he was poisoned at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) secretariat in 2018.
Shaibu said that Wike’s claim is “not believable” and that the former governor’s health problems are more likely due to his excessive alcohol consumption.
“Governor Wike has always been open about his love for alcohol,” Shaibu said. “He even said back in March that he was sipping a 40-year-old whiskey with his friends while watching Atiku and others protesting on TV at 11 am.”
Shaibu said that excessive alcohol consumption can lead to a number of health problems, including liver disease, heart disease, and cancer. He said that Wike’s hoarse voice is also a sign of excessive alcohol consumption.
