Youths Set Police Station Ablaze In Anambra
Some angry youths have razed down Igboukwu police station, Aguata local government area of Anambra state, after a motorcycle rider was shot by an officer in the area.
Eko Hot Blog, gathered that a rift broke out between some officers and motorcycle riders regarding the confiscation of some motorcycles belonging Okada riders deemed to have violated the 9pm timeline stipulated for the riders to operate.
According to the spokesman for the Anambra state police command, SP Haruna Mohammed, the feud exacerbated into a chaos when an officer shot down an Okada rider in what was deemed to be an accidental discharge, prompting the youths to burn Igboukwu police station to the ground.

Reacting to the incident, the state Commissioner for police, CP John Abang has appealed for calm and ordered the detention of police men involved.
According to him, the CP has ordered for full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident and he assured the public that “justice would be done in the case and the outcome of Police investigation shall be made public in due course.”
