You’ve Given Good Account Of Yourself – Buhari Hails Osinbajo At 64

President Muhammadu Buhari has described Yemi Osinbajo as an ‘incredibly patient politician’ who goes about his duty with diligence and grace.

The president also said it’s a thing of pride to have had Osinbajo as his running mate in 2015

Buhari’s encomiums was contained in a felicitation message to the vice-president on occasion of his 64th birthday.

In a statement by Garba Shehu, presidential spokesman, Buhari was quoted as describing the number two citizen as “a reliable and dedicated deputy who is not only admirably competent, but also exudes confidence and passion in the performance of his job”.

He said Osinbajo was an unassuming, easy-going character who put Nigeria’s interests above other considerations, noting that the the vice president has more than justified his selection as his (Buhari’s) running mate since they began their journey in 2015.

“Vice-President Osinbajo is an incredibly patient politician who demonstrates remarkable intellectual and mental energy in the discharge of his duties,” Buhari was quoted to have said.

“I’m proud to have selected Osinbajo as my running mate, and he has given a good account of himself since our journey began in 2015.

“The Vice-President is a cool-headed gentleman who puts the interest of Nigeria above other narrow considerations.”

Buhari wished Osinbajo many more prosperous years and divine guidance in his affairs
