Zamfara APC crisis: Court dismisses Yari’s case
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Federal High Court in Gusau, the capital of Zamfara State, rejected a complaint filed by former Governor Abdulaziz Yari contesting the decision of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caretaker Committee Chairman, Mai Mala Buni, to dissolve the party’s current leadership in the state.
In his judgement, Justice Aminu Bappa Aminu stated that he dismissed the case because it concerned the party’s internal matters, which he stated could be settled internally.
In response to the judgement, the chief lawyer for Yari’s group, Barrister DC Enwerem, stated that the justice used his judicial knowledge in the decision.
The counsel added that Yari’s group will determine whether or not to appeal the ruling.
In his own reaction, the counsel for Governor Mai Mala Buni, Barrister Shamsudeen Mohammed said the court did what it was supposed to do, saying that even though the plaintiffs decide to appeal, the judgment would still be against them.

Reacting, the Publicity Secretary of Senator Kabiru Garbage Marafa’s faction of APC, Alhaji Mohammed Bello Bakyasuwa, said he was not surprised by the judgment because it was expected.
“After all, former Governor Ahmed Sani Yarima said it publicly even before the judgment that the court would dismiss the case and that was exactly what happened,” he said.
