Zamfara College Abduction: Provost Says 15 Students Were Kidnapped
- Bandits had attacked the school in the wee hours of Monday in large numbers.
The Provost of Zamfara State College of Agriculture and Animal Sciences, Bakura, Habibu Mainasara, has pegged the number of abducted students at 15.
He told the police, on Monday, that four members of staff of the college were also abducted.
Recall that EKO HOT BLOG had earlier reported that an unspecified number of students had been abducted during the attack.

According to a statement signed by police spokesperson Mohammed Shehu, the bandits attacked the school around midnight on Monday in large numbers.
But they “were heavily confronted by the Tactical Police Operatives who were alerted and responded to the scene on time.
“Unfortunately, a Police Inspector and two (2) other civilian guards lost their lives while 15 students and 4 staff were abducted by the bandits.”
He also revealed that three persons have been rescued while an extensive search operation is ongoing to rescue others.
