The Nigerian Air Force in Gusau, Zamfara State has commenced investigation into the deafening explosion that rocked a forest in the state in the early hours of Tuesday.
Residents ran for safety when sounds of loud and earthshaking explosions were heard inside a forest around Rukudawa community, situated just 7 kilometres east of Zurmi town, Zurmi Local Government Area headquarters.
A farmer, Mustapha Saadu said buildings were on the verge of collapsing with their roofs blown off.

The terrified farmers ran for dear lives and returned to the farm at about 9am when the explosion stopped.
