Zamfara state Governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle has presented the 2020 budget tagged, ‘Budget of Hope and Renewal,’ with proposal of N182.7bn to the state House of Assembly.
Matawalle said that N106bn was for capital expenditure, while N55bn was for recurrent expenditure.
He said also that the budget is to bring renewed hope to the people in the state.
The Governor said that the social sector, which consists of education, health, information and youths development, had the largest share of N38.5bn.
Matawalle said: “Adequate education, good health must be provided to the people which is part of primary responsiblity of the government.

He,however chided the previous administration for “seriously neglecting youths empowerment and education.”
The governor also said that more attention would continue to be given to security until banditry and other criminal activities were completely eradicated from the state.
He also said that his administration will ensure that the budgeted funds were properly used for benefit of the people of zamfara.
