Zidane Finally Reacts To The Harsh Comment Klopp Made About Real Madrid’s Stadium
The Reds were defeated 3-1 in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie in Madrid on Tuesday night, leaving them with a lot of work to do in the return match on April 14.
Rather than the popular Santiago Bernabeu, Madrid’s game on Tuesday was held at the 6,000-seat Di Stefano Stadium, which is located within their Valdebebas training center, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
Mohamed Salah scored a crucial away goal, but a brace from Vinicius Junior and a goal from Marco Asensio, means the 2019 Champions League winners will need another good showing in the European Cup at Anfield.
After the match the Reds boss said:
“This here tonight was really strange because it was a difficult situation in the stadium, but Anfield is at least a proper stadium and that will be good for us.”
Zidane, who coached Real Madrid to a 3-1 victory over Liverpool in the 2018 Champions League final, believes the Reds will give it their all to complete another famous comeback at Anfield.
“We are satisfied with the results, but we have achieved little.” We are pleased with the results, and the players’ efforts are important considering our season’s difficulties”; he stated.
In addition, Zidane dodged a query about Jurgen Klopp’s supposed lack of respect for Madrid’s Stadium.
“I don’t have an opinion about what Jurgen says,” Zidane said of Klopp’s remarks. “We are proud to play in this stadium,” he added.
