EKO HOT BLOG reports that over the weekend in Lagos, a 13-year-old kid drowned in a hotel pool.
The child known only as Ebubechukwu reportedly visited the hotel along Ago Palace Way in Okota with a few of his buddies while they were walking home from school.
It was gathered that the hotel, said to have been abandoned for sometime, had no life guard nor staffers except for a security man at the entrance to the facility.
The security man, it was learnt, usually charged tokens from intending users of the pool and ensured it was kept clean for them.
Unfortunately, after the teenager drowned, the security man, it was gathered fled the premises and had since gone into hiding.
