The devastating floods in Nigeria in 2025 have led to a significant loss of life and displacement, according to the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). The agency has reported that 165 people have died and 82 are missing. The floods have affected a total of 119,791 people across 19 states.

Eko Hot Blog reports that the disaster has also resulted in 138 injuries and the displacement of 43,936 individuals. The floods have destroyed 8,594 houses and 8,278 farmlands across 43 Local Government Areas. The states most affected are Imo, Rivers, Abia, Borno, and Kaduna. Children and women are said to be the most vulnerable groups impacted by the disaster.
The 19 states affected by the flooding are Abia, FCT, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bayelsa, Borno, Edo, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Kogi, Kwara, Niger, Ondo, Rivers, and Sokoto.
