Following the inspection, the Dangote Group pledged to support the sand-filling of the affected communities, marking a critical intervention aimed at safeguarding infrastructure and preventing further displacement of families.
“In Apakin, Otolu, and Okun Ise, we’re not just talking about water eating into the land, we’re talking about homes lost, futures threatened, and families pushed into uncertainty. This pledge by the Dangote Group is a lifeline,” said Chairman RBK.
The visiting delegation lauded Chairman RBK for his proactive and responsive leadership, emphasizing the importance of public-private partnerships in addressing pressing environmental challenges.
They noted that corporate social responsibility must include efforts to uplift vulnerable populations and protect their living environments.
