Benibo Anabraba as Secretary to the Rivers State Government. The new Secretary to the State Government will be sworn in by His Excellency on Monday, October 13, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. at the State Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Port Harcourt.”
Anabraba, a seasoned politician, previously served as the Minority Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly, representing Akuku-Toru Constituency II. He is also a long-time ally of Governor Fubara and played a key role during the political realignments that followed the internal crisis within the state government earlier in the year.
He replaces Dr. Tammy Danagogo, who held the position from the second term of former Governor Nyesom Wike through the first two years of the Fubara administration. Danagogo’s tenure ended following the recent restructuring of key government offices.
The appointment of Anabraba is seen as part of Governor Fubara’s ongoing effort to strengthen his administration and maintain political stability within the state as it continues its development agenda.
