The Agbaje family has expressed heartfelt gratitude as the newly built ultra-modern Epe Divisional Police Headquarters, named after the late Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Ganiyu Agbaje, was officially commissioned in Oke-Oyinbo, Epe, Lagos State.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the event drew dignitaries from across political, traditional and security circles who came to celebrate a legacy of honour, service and patriotism.

Speaking on behalf of the family, Mr. Yemisi Agbaje described the moment as both historic and emotional. “We are honoured and humbled by this recognition.
Our father lived his life serving Nigeria with integrity and dedication. This edifice keeps his legacy alive and reminds us that service to humanity is the greatest honour.”

Another family representative, Mrs. Bunmi Agbaje, expressed appreciation to Hon. Wale Raji and all stakeholders. “This gesture means the world to our family. We thank everyone who believed in his legacy and ensured his contributions to national security are remembered.”
Also speaking, Mrs. Botu Oluwakemi highlighted how the immortalisation inspires future generations. “This honour does not only celebrate his past — it lights a path for us and the younger generation to keep up his values of discipline, patriotism and community service.”
Hon. Wale Tasir Raji, the Federal Lawmaker representing Epe Federal Constituency, who facilitated the edifice, reiterated his commitment to security and development in Epe.
“The mandate you all gave to me has done this again… and we will continue to do more as long as we have your support,” he noted.
He commended police officers in Epe for restoring safety and order, saying, “Once troubled by cultism and insecurity, Epe has witnessed a remarkable turnaround through your bravery and citizens’ cooperation.”
Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, represented by CP Olohundare Moshood Jimoh, praised Hon. Raji and celebrated the legacy of the late AIG.
“Late AIG Ganiyu Agbaje deserves this honour. His selfless service and commitment to peace were exceptional and inspiring,” he stated.

Divisional Police Officer, CSP Ayeni Benjamin, disclosed a significant decline in cultism, robbery and domestic violence within the last year, attributing the improvement to community collaboration and enhanced police support.
Community leaders including Alhaji Seriki Bamu, Hon. Abiodun Tobun, Hon. Monsuru Akinloye, Hon. Segun Agbaje, Chief Kadri Odedeogboro and others applauded Hon. Raji’s developmental strides and dedication to strengthening security infrastructure across Epe.
