The group cited several reasons for leaving the APC, including being sidelined, unfair suspension and expulsion of their leaders, and continuous disrespect for their faction. They also expressed disappointment with how the APC handled internal crises, which they believe contributed to the party’s poor performance in recent elections and weakened its support in Osun State.
During the meeting, members voted to switch to another political camp ahead of the 2026 governorship election.
Addressing the group, Aregbesola praised their dedication to good governance and integrity. He urged them to remain committed and assured them that efforts to reposition the group would soon yield positive results.
He emphasized the need for unity and hard work to achieve their goals, adding that their vision is to promote progress and responsible leadership in Osun. Aregbesola called on members to attract like-minded individuals to their cause, regardless of political or social backgrounds.

The Chairman of the group, Alhaji Azeez Adesiji, also thanked members for their loyalty and encouraged them to embrace the ideals of true progressivism.
He pledged to continue protecting their interests and ensuring their voices are heard.
