Grammy-nominated Afrobeats star, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has publicly denied claims that he is the biological father of a teenage girl, Anu, who recently asked for a DNA test to confirm her identity.
Eko Hot Blog reports that Davido reacted on social media shortly after Anu shared an emotional post on Instagram, where she appealed for a DNA test and spoke about years of bullying, emotional distress, and her desire to establish her true identity as she enters her teenage years.

In her message, Anu said she had been raised by her mother and grandmother with strong values, stressing discipline, good behaviour, and academic excellence.

She recounted how she was mocked by classmates from a young age after claiming Davido was her father, an experience she said affected her mental health and required medical support.
The teenager explained that her request for a DNA test was a personal decision aimed at finding closure and peace of mind. She also expressed gratitude to Nigerians who have supported her emotionally over the years.
Reacting, Davido firmly dismissed the claim, insisting that multiple DNA tests had already been conducted and all returned negative results.
According to the singer, five separate tests were carried out at hospitals jointly selected by both parties, with none confirming paternity.

The award-winning artist further alleged that Anu’s mother was misleading her and described the situation as an attempt to force a false narrative. He maintained that he has never had a relationship with the girl’s mother beyond the DNA testing process.
Davido added that he would no longer engage publicly on the issue and hinted at possible legal steps, while stating that he holds no personal blame against the teenager herself.
The renewed exchange has reignited public debate around the long-running paternity controversy, which has resurfaced periodically despite previous DNA test results reportedly clearing the singer.
