3 Renowned Nollywood Actors Who Became Pastors

Sometimes, it comes to a point in one’s life that one may just feel inspired by God’s love to do great things. In so doing, such people decide to become Pastors.

With that said, some “Nollywood actors have given up their worldly lifestyles, renounced unhealthy habits, and made significant life changes”. Strangely too, some may have even decided to blend the two professions, while others chose to give up their acting career to become pastors and be all out for God.

So, in this article on EKO HOT BLOG, we would be looking at some renowned Nollywood actors, that became pastors.

1. Zack Orji

Zack Orji had always been one of Nollywood’s outstanding veteran actors. Prior now, he had been in the Nigerian movie industry for over two decades. For many who might have known him and were familiar with his movies, the actor was known for his role as a pastor in several Nollywood movies. So as fate would have it, It was no surprise when he was ordained as a reverend in 2012 by Bishop Lawrence Osagie of Power Line Bible Church.

After taking up this mantle, Orji has not looked “back in his quest to work in the vineyard of God”. Since then he has stood as a minister of God and has long stepped aside from the screen.

With his passion for Christ now, the former actor moves from one church to the other, both within and outside the country, preaching the gospel of salvation.

His preaching has extended to various churches, namely “Shepherd House Assembly in Makurdi, Lafia, Abuja, and the Diaspora”.

2. Patience Ozokwor

Patience Ozokwor who is popularly known as Mama G is a veteran Nollywood actress. The talented woman is known for her hard-hitting roles such as the “wicked step-mother, wicked mother-in-law and several other evil roles in Nollywood movies. She has been acting in the Nigerian movie industry for well over two decades.

However, since the year 2016, Patience has been known for preaching the gospel to the people. She does this both on social media and in churches.

The actress is said to have ministered to a congregation at St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Alaba, Lagos State, Nigeria, at a certain time. While doing that, she testified about her life and the personal encounter she had with God.

3. Eucharia Anunobi

Eucharia Anunobi is a veteran Nollywood actress, who was well known for her outstanding performance in the movie Glamour Girls. It was produced in 1995 and also the Abuja Connection which came out in 2005.

Over several years, many had watched her take up provocative roles. And suddenly, she stunned everyone when she announced that she had given her life to Christ; especially after she had lost her son, whom she mourned, for so many years.
