Poor battery life on smartphones, whether they are Android or iPhones, is caused by several reasons.
The majority of smartphone batteries drain quicker than expected due to default settings like overly bright screens, faster processors, more busy background applications, and faster internet connections.

In this article on EKO HOT BLOG, we would be looking at some phone settings that would help extend your phone battery life.
1. Activate the power saver setting.
The power saving option on your phone automatically turns off features that might drain the battery. In power-saving mode, networking, syncing, and location services are immediately disabled, and the refresh rate of the screen is lowered. The power saving option further customizes the feature by turning off the always-on Display, limiting CPU speed, and reducing the brightness to further extend battery life.
2. Adjust the brightness of the device.
You don’t need your phone in the brightest setting because of how much power it consumes. To make this change, go to your display settings and reduce the screen’s brightness. Additionally, you can change the brightness there by using the pull-down option. Also, think about disabling automatic brightness. This function can over-brighten your display even though it adjusts to your perceived needs.
3. Set a quick screen timeout limit.
The longer your phone’s screen is on, the more power it consumes. You can limit the excessive use of your battery by setting the screen to turn off sooner than it would normally. To extend the energy life of your phone, it is recommended that you decrease the screen timeout from 15 to 10 seconds.
4. Turn off location services and WiFi when not in use.
Even when your phone is not in use, it is still sending out a variety of signals that could inevitably drain the battery. If you want to use the least amount of power possible when you don’t want to enable Power Saving mode, you can disable a few backend services. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile internet all use more power than they should. An easy way to save some electricity is to disable these services when not in use.
5. Turn off active listening.
If you activate your device with a wake keyword, it will be on alert for that word.
