Chelsea On The Verge Of Sacking Lampard As Head Coach

North London club, Chelsea is reportedly considering releasing Frank Lampard from his role as head coach.

The Capital Giants were singled out as potential candidates for the Premier League title earlier this season, but a series of disappointing streaks of form cost them to lose four of their past seven matches in all competitions.

The Blues have achieved a single victory in their last six outings, in the meantime, to slide, to the eighth position in the table, seven points below the top spot, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.

As reported by the Athletic, Lampard’s position as manager is “seriously threatened” with the Blues contemplating a change as a result of 3-1 defeat in Manchester City.

According to the report, the Chelsea chiefs are already considering alternatives for the 42-year-old, who spent a lot on two Germans Timo Werner and Kai Havertz this past summer.

The Former Chelsea midfielder took over at Stamford Bridge since July 2019, winning 41, drawing 17 and losing 22 of his 80 competitive matches at the helm.

Chelsea will go next against League Two side Morecambe in the FA Cup on January 10.
