“This Is Us” actress Mandy Moore shared her anguish on Instagram, writing, “Praying for everyone in our beautiful city. Don’t know if our place made it.”

James Woods, who evacuated his Pacific Palisades home, posted videos showing flames encroaching on his property, calling it “like losing a loved one.”

Mark Hamill, famous for his role as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars, recounted fleeing his Malibu home while fires flared on both sides of the Pacific Coast Highway. He described the experience as the “most horrific fire since ’93.”

Several major Hollywood events were canceled, including Pamela Anderson’s film premiere for The Last Showgirl and Paramount’s screening of the Robbie Williams musical Better Man.
