A yet to be ascertained number of civilians were killed on Tuesday when suspected Boko Haram terrorists launched a horrific attack on Maiduguri.
According to Eons Intelligence, The insurgents launched multiple missiles and engaged the military stationed at the outskirts of the state capital.
Missiles landed in Gwange, Bulabulin, Adam Kolo, and Molai areas of the town leading to the deaths of many residents, the The online security blog reports.
The outfit cited a source saying security operatives kept a splinter group of the jihadist fighters at bay as they slug it out with the marauders in a gun duel behind the Maiduguri Teaching Hospital.
In another separate attack, the report disclosed that the jihadist fighters attacked civilians in Internally Displaced Camp in Dalori at the outskirt of the town.
Boko Haram terrorists have continued to carry out deadly attacks on civilians and military formations across the North-East region leading to the deaths of thousands of people.
This attack came hours after troops of “Operation Lafiya Dole” recaptured Marte town from the jihadist fighters.
