AFCON 2022: Qualification Table & Preview After Saturday’s Matches
After all Matchday five fixtures of the African cup of nations were played, check out how the AFCON Qualification table looks like.
The group L African Cup of Nations Qualifier games were the only matches played yesterday, Lesotho hosted Sierra Leone while Nigeria travelled to Benin Republic for their 5th game of the qualifier.
In the opening match of the day, Lesotho hosted Sierra Leone in a goalless draw, Lesotho’s draw against Sierra Leone pulled them out of the competition while Sierra Leone inability to secure three points against Lesotho gave Nigeria an easy ticket to the African cup of nations in 2022.
In the second match of the day, Nigeria played a first half draw against Benin republic before Super Eagles scored a late goal in the game through Paul Onuachu to deliver a 1-0 victory over the host.
Group B, C, F, I And K are the only groups without a clear qualification as the teams still have crucial games to play, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.
