BREAKING: Residents Scamper For Safety As Gas Leakage Occurs In Lagos

Residents have scampered for safety as gas leakage occurred in Lagos.
Ekohotblog reports that there is palpable tension on Wednesday around Computer Village, Oba Akran Area of Lagos as massive gas leakage occurred.
The leakage was noticed around 8am on Wednesday and responders from the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), both Federal and State fire services are currently on their way to commence repair work.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for NEMA (South West), Ibrahim Farinloye, in a statement on Wednesday, advised residents to avoid using anything inflammable.
He said: “Residents around Computer Village, Underbridge Awolowo Way, and Oba Akran axis, Anifowose Street, Medical Road must not open shops or use open naked fire for safety reasons.
“Distressed alert just received indicates massive leakage of gas pipeline around these areas.”
