The company’s chairman, Abdul Samad Rabiu, made the announcement after the meeting at the State House in Abuja.
Rabiu said that the company is committed to supporting the government’s efforts to bring down the prices of key commodities, and that the price reduction is a step in that direction.
He also said that the company is adding two new plants at the end of the year, which will bring its total capacity to 17 million metric tons.
The two new plants will enable BUA Cement to produce more cement and bring down the price even further.
The price reduction is expected to take effect in the coming weeks.
This is a welcome development for consumers, who have been struggling with the high cost of cement. The price reduction will make cement more affordable and accessible to more people.
