A section of a Six storey building gutted by fire has collapsed on a policeman, while trying to control the crowd.
The six-storey building located at 43 Martins Street, Lagos Island, collapsed around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Confirming the death to our correspondent, the Special Adviser to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Lagos Central Business District, Mr.Olanrewaju Elegushi, said the policeman died in the hospital following injuries sustained in the building collapse.
Ekohotblog garnered that crowd gathered at the arena, slowing down fire fighters and others from carrying out their duties effectively.
The Officials of the Lagos State Fire Service, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, are still struggling to put out the fire.
