Four Die In Crash On Owerri-Onitsha Express Road
EKO HOT BLOG reports that on Friday, a tragic accident occurred at Ogbakwu along the Onitsha Express Road, resulting in four fatalities.
The crash involved a lorry and a Lord’s Chosen luxury bus.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident transpired when a lorry with registration number ABU 157 YX emerged from Orokwe Market Road and merged onto the Owerri-Onitsha Express Road without adequate observation.
This led to a collision with the Lord’s Chosen Luxurious bus traveling from the direction of Onitsha, causing it to veer off the road and into a gutter. Along its path, the bus destroyed several shops and struck three pedestrians.
The lorry driver was said to have absconded after the crash.
Imo Police spokesman, Henry Okoye confirmed the incident in a statement.
He said operatives from the Ogbakwu Divisional Headquarters and the State Traffic Department responded swiftly and assisted in evacuating the victims to Uchenna Hospital Irete for treatment.
