Tunji Alausa has assured the Nigerian Physicians in the Americas that the future of healthcare in Nigeria is bright.

Eko Hot Blog reports that Dr. Tunji Alausa, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, has expressed optimism that Nigeria’s healthcare system has a bright future.

He shared his thoughts during a Breakfast Meeting at the ongoing Annual Convention of the Association of Nigerian Physicians in the Americas (ANPA).

The convention, which kicked off on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, will conclude on Sunday, June 23, 2024.

In his address to the Nigerian Physicians in the Americas, the health minister challenged them to contribute their quota to the development of the Nigerian healthcare system

“My dear colleagues, the future of healthcare in Nigeria is bright, and it is a future that we are building together,” he said.

“Your expertise, knowledge, and experience are crucial in bridging the gaps and addressing the challenges that our healthcare system faces.

“We are keenly aware of the remarkable strides you have made in various specialties and the innovative solutions you have championed in your respective fields.

“Your achievements are a testament to the potential that exists within our nation, and we are eager to harness this potential for the greater good of our people.”

Furthermore, Dr. Alausa told the Nigerian medical practitioners in the diaspora that Nigeria is ready to host their convention in 2025.

“As we all enjoy this conference, I particularly look ahead with excitement to the 2025 ANPA Conference, which Nigeria is honored to host, I want to assure you that every measure is being taken to ensure a seamless and memorable event,” the minister stated.

“Nigeria is ready and open for business, and we recognize the enormous potential and contributions that you, our esteemed professionals in the diaspora, bring to the table.

“Hosting the ANPA Conference in 2025 is not just an event for us, it is a significant milestone.

“It symbolizes our commitment to fostering global partnerships, embracing innovation, and creating an environment where Nigerian professionals can thrive both at home and abroad.

“Your presence and participation will be pivotal in showcasing Nigeria’s capabilities and our relentless pursuit of excellence in healthcare.”

He noted that the administration of President Bola Tinubu is “steadfast in its resolve to bring about transformative changes within the healthcare sector.”

“We understand that a robust healthcare system is fundamental to the nation’s development, and we are committed to implementing policies that ensure accessible, affordable, and quality healthcare for every Nigerian,” the health minister added.
