Six days ago, an X user named Pink Tony suggested that Osimhen should change his bio after the striker posted a photo of himself in his new No. 45 jersey, alongside his daughter at Rams Park Arena, Galatasaray’s home stadium. Although some users argued that Osimhen couldn’t change his bio due to his ongoing contract with Napoli, the Nigerian striker has since made the change. His bio now reads, “Professional football player for Galatasaray and Super Eagles of Nigeria,” and his profile picture features him in a Galatasaray jersey, while his banner image shows him in the No. 45 shirt, holding his daughter—a clear symbol of a new chapter in his career.

Osimhen’s social media update has sparked widespread discussion among X users, with many eagerly anticipating his debut for Galatasaray. The striker, who joined the Turkish club on loan from Napoli during the final hours of the transfer window, had been at the centre of a long-running transfer saga. Despite signing a new contract with Napoli in December 2023, Osimhen requested to leave the club after a tumultuous relationship with some of its fans. This rift, coupled with his omission from Napoli’s pre-season and their first three Serie A matches under new manager Antonio Conte, led to his eventual exit from the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Osimhen is expected to make his first appearance for Galatasaray on September 15 in a Turkish Super Lig match against Rizespor.
