Liverpool Bounce Back, Defeat AC Milan In Champions League Opener

Liverpool secured a commanding victory over AC Milan in their Champions League return, swiftly recovering from Saturday’s shock defeat to Nottingham Forest.

The Reds were caught off guard early, as AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic fired home a precise strike just three minutes in.

However, Liverpool quickly regained control. After Mohamed Salah hit the crossbar, Ibrahima Konate equalized with a well-timed header from Trent Alexander-Arnold’s free-kick in the 23rd minute.

Salah struck the bar again before Virgil van Dijk completed the comeback just before half-time, nodding in a close-range header from Konstantinos Tsimikas’ corner.
