Imo APC Names LG Election Candidates, Submits List to ISIEC
The Imo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced the names of its candidates for the upcoming local government elections on September 21, 2024.
EKO HOT BLOG reports that the list of candidates has been submitted to the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC).
In a press statement released by State Publicity Secretary Cajetan Duke, it was confirmed that the primaries for selecting chairmanship and councilor candidates have been completed.
Duke emphasised, “Any claims about changes to the list by individuals or groups, regardless of their status within our party, should be ignored and dismissed.”

He assured that the APC is committed to maintaining a transparent and credible electoral process, as pledged by the party leader, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma.
Duke urged candidates and former aspirants to remain vigilant against attempts by disruptive elements to spread misinformation or create discord, which could jeopardize the party’s integrity and stability.
“Our party’s strength is rooted in its unity and adherence to the values that have guided us thus far,” Duke said.

He called on all members to unite in order to advance the party with confidence and determination. “We are prepared to make necessary sacrifices for the unity of our party and the success of the upcoming elections. We invite all members and supporters to join us in this endeavor,” he added.
