Transfer: Ex-Man Utd Forward, Anthony Martial Joins New Club
Similar to David de Gea, who spent a year without a club after leaving Manchester United in 2023, Martial faced limited interest following his exit from Old Trafford. However, AEK Athens have opted to take a chance on him, despite his history of injury troubles.

Martial scored 90 goals during his time at United, but persistent injuries plagued his career. His final appearance for the club was in December 2023, six months before his departure.
The 28-year-old joined Manchester United as a teenager from Monaco, making a memorable debut by scoring against Liverpool, though he ultimately fell short of fulfilling his early potential.
When Martial confirmed his departure from United, he wrote on social media: “Dear Manchester United fans. It’s with great emotion that I write to you today to say goodbye. After nine incredible years at the club, the time has come for me to turn a new page in my career.
“Since I arrived in 2015, I have had the immense honour of wearing this shirt and playing in front of you, the best supporters in the world! You have been an unwavering support, through the good times and the difficult. Your passion and loyalty have been a constant source of motivation for me.
