Oko-Abe Community High School Nears Completion as Rep Wale Raji, Alli-Balogun Inspect Epe Schools

Ekohotblog reports that the Oko-Abe Community High School, a key educational project funded by Rep. Wale Raji of Epe Federal Constituency, is now in its final stages and set for an official launch soon.

 

Recneltly, Rep Raji and Lagos State Commissioner for Education Hon. Tolani Alli-Balogun visited Oko-Abe Community Secondary School and Epe Grammar School in Ward C1, Epe Local Government Area, to inspect the newly constructed facilities before the official launch.

 

The visit is aimed to inspect and ensure that the facilities are of good standards and ready to service the students effectively.

 

With them were Other leaders included Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, APC State Chairman, represented by Hon. Kehinde Adeniyi, Welfare Secretary; Dr. Funke Oyetola, head of Education District 3, represented by Mrs. Mosunmola Adefuye; Hon. Sikiru Owolomose, Vice Chairman of Epe LG, representing Hon. Animashaun, the Epe LG Chairman; and Hon. Aliu Shittu, Epe Education Secretary.

 

Also in attendance were Hon. Rotimi Ibrahim, Ward C1 Leader; Mrs. Bola Lawal, Supervisor for Women’s Affairs and Poverty Relief; Hon. Seriki Olabowale, Chairman of APC Ward Leaders in Lagos; Otunba Olusesi, Assistant for Works; Hon. SI Bakare; traditional leaders; and members of Rep. Raji’s advisory team.

 

The visit began at Epe Grammar School, where Rep. Raji highlighted the school’s latest additions, including new hostels, classrooms, a dining hall, and a principal’s lodge.

 

The delegation then proceeded to Oko-Abe Community Secondary School to inspect two new classroom blocks, each with six classrooms.

 

Speaking at the event, Rep Raji shared his vision for the community, saying, “Oko-Abe now has a well-equipped school with two blocks of classrooms

“Our goal is to make sure all children have access to good education in a conducive environment.”

 

He commended Commissioner Alli-Balogun for being the first Lagos Education Commissioner to visit Oko-Abe and Ward C1, and added, “Education should be available to all, regardless of where children live.”

 

Hon. Alli-Balogun praised the work being done. “We saw wonderful improvements at Epe Grammar School, like the new mini-stadium, dining hall, staff housing, classrooms, and hostels, which show Rep. Raji’s commitment to the people of Epe Federal Constituency,” he said.

 

At Oko-Abe, he also inspected the classrooms, emphasizing the state’s focus on projects that help achieve its THEMES plus agenda for education.

 

He also talked about his concerns to teacher housing, confirming that temporary arrangements have been made while more permanent options are coming.

 

Party leaders expressed gratitude, with APC’s Hon. Kehinde Adeniyi applauded Raji for his dedication to Epe.

 

“Hon. Wale Raji truly represents us, especially in terms of welfare and social needs,” he said.

 

Baales of Oko-Abe and Ishon communities praised the security improvements, such as the school fencing, and assured their support in hiring local teachers as encouraged by the Commissioner.
