Firefighters from the Dolphin, Ebute Elefun, and Oba Onitolo Fire Stations quickly responded and battled the blaze, which had primarily affected the studio area of the building.

In a statement, Adeseye assured the public that the situation was under control, with collaboration from the Federal Fire Service, Nigerian Police, and other responders.

The fire was confined to the studio section of the one-story building. No casualties have been reported, and efforts to fully extinguish the fire and assess the damage are ongoing.

This incident follows a similar fire disaster in Aba, Abia State, where three radio stations—Enyimba 94.3 FM, Rose 101.9 FM, and Legend 98.3 FM—were gutted by a blaze in early October. The fire, which started at Enyimba TV and Radio Limited’s television section, destroyed valuable broadcasting equipment but caused no loss of life.

Enyimba TV and Radio Limited has since suspended operations at the affected stations for damage assessment and to implement preventive measures.
