Governor Sanwo-Olu Sworns-in Epe Club’s Secretary, Mr. Akin Durojaiye Oluwo, As LASIEC Board Member

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Friday swore in Mr. Akin Durojaiye Oluwo, the General Secretary of Epe Club, as a Board Member of the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC).
Ekohotblog reports that the swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of the Chairman of LASIEC, Hon. Justice Bola Okikiolu Ighile, and other members of the newly appointed board.

The ceremony, which took place at the LASIEC headquarters in Ikeja, also witnessed the presence of top political figures, stakeholders, and members of the public, thus creating an atmosphere for the celebration of a new chapter in the state’s electoral process.
Mr. Oluwo, a distinguished figure in Epe Division, earned recognition for his outstanding leadership within and outside the community.
His appointment is expected to bolster the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission’s efforts in ensuring transparency, efficiency, and fairness in the upcoming Local Government Elections.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Oluwo expressed gratitude for the opportunity, saying he’s deeply honored
“I am deeply honored by this appointment.
“This is a collective effort, work and dedication of the Premier Club of Epe Division and the entire Epe community.
” I pledge to bring my wealth of experience to ensure that the forthcoming elections are conducted seamlessly and that the voice of every Lagosian is heard and respected.”
Governor Sanwo-Olu, while congratulating the new appointees, emphasized the critical role of LASIEC in maintaining the integrity of the electoral process.
“Mr. Oluwo’s appointment reflects the caliber of leaders we need to guide Lagos State to greater heights.

The ceremony also saw the swearing-in of other LASIEC board members, including the LASIEC Chairman, Hon. Justice Bola Okikiolu Ighile, whose leadership is expected to further strengthen the Commission’s resolve to uphold democratic principles.
