Her uncle, who learned of the crime through the police, recounted the gruesome details, saying, “He has succeeded in destroying our daughter. Not only did he kill her, he butchered her into pieces. He cut that body into more than 50 pieces and left them in about six polythene bags.”
According to Samson, the family had no knowledge of a relationship between Salome and the suspect, and they were devastated when they learned that the man responsible for her brutal murder was someone completely unknown to them.
“This so-called Timi guy, we don’t know him. We have never seen him until we were called up to tell us that this guy murdered and dismembered our sister,” he added.

The uncle’s call for justice echoes the family’s demand for the harshest penalties to be meted out to Ajayi, who has admitted to the crime but justified his actions with claims of a cheating incident. The family insists that the focus must remain on ensuring justice for Salome, whose life was taken so violently.
The Nasarawa State Police have assured the family that justice will be served, with investigations continuing and the suspect to be arraigned in court. “We are expecting justice from the police,” Samson concluded, as he vowed to stand firm in the fight for his niece’s memory.
