Pep Guardiola declared that Manchester City are back to their best after Phil Foden shone in a dominant 6-0 victory over struggling Ipswich on Sunday.
Foden scored twice, with Mateo Kovacic also adding a stunning goal, as City overwhelmed Ipswich with three first-half strikes at Portman Road.
Jeremy Doku, Erling Haaland, and James McAtee completed the scoring in the second half, securing City’s largest league win of the season.

Having won three of their last four league matches, Guardiola’s side are steadily climbing back to form after a challenging start to the campaign.
“We are really pleased, we are back in many things that have defined this team in the last decade, the last years,” Guardiola said.
“Really pleased for the players, they deserved it a lot. We recovered some identities that we lost in this path.
“Really pleased for the three points and to climb a little bit because qualification for the Champions League next season will be really tough.”

Tougher challenges lie ahead for Manchester City, with a crucial Champions League clash at Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday and key Premier League matches against Chelsea and Arsenal on the horizon.
However, this performance was reminiscent of the dominant City that cruised to four consecutive Premier League titles. Yet, with a 12-point gap to league leaders Liverpool, the title now seems out of reach.
Guardiola’s main goal this season is to restore City’s pride as he rebuilds a squad that has shown signs of aging and inconsistency.
“The most important thing is that the players recognized who we are, and that’s the best thing I can say,” Guardiola remarked.
Erling Haaland, who has netted 112 goals in just 127 appearances for City, recently extended his stay at the club until 2034.
