In a post on X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, Dada recounted how she fell critically ill during the project and was left stranded at a hotel before her family and management arranged transportation to a hospital in Ibadan.
She was unconscious upon arrival and later learned that she had contracted sepsis. Dada expressed gratitude for surviving the life-threatening condition, adding, “I was lucky to be alive.”
Omowunmi also shared her frustration with the production company, which, despite her severe illness, demanded a full refund for her participation in the project. “Funny thing, production asked for full refund. Hmm…” she remarked.

Jemima Osunde responded to Dada’s post, expressing her shock and relief that Omowunmi survived. Osunde also shared her own ordeal, stating that after contracting a bacterial infection from contaminated food on set in Ibadan, she had to pay for her own medical treatment in Lagos while the production team continued to demand a refund.

She said, “By the time my team sent a response with all the clauses they had breached in the contract, they went quiet.”
Earlier this week, Osunde disclosed that her health battle began three years ago when she contracted Helicobacter pylori from contaminated food on set, and she has since been dealing with gastroesophageal reflux disease.
