The Lagos State Traditional Medicine Board (LSTMB) recently hosted a crucial advocacy and sensitization event in the Epe Division, marking a significant milestone in its efforts to engage practitioners and stakeholders within the Traditional Medicine Community.

During the event at Salako Hall, Epe, LSTMB Registrar Prince Babatunde Adele commended the establishment of a zonal office by the Board, which is expected to streamline registration and renewal processes for practitioners in the area.
He further urged practitioners to collaborate in order to advance the practice of traditional medicine and maintain its relevance in the face of current challenges, such as the brain drain in the health sector.
Director of Research, Training, and Development, Mr. Hakeem Bello, addressed the attendees, emphasizing the importance of remaining engaged and proactive in their practices to ensure the continued growth and development of traditional medicine.

Additionally, he highlighted the need for Heads of Associations to submit comprehensive lists of their practitioners to the Board.
This initiative aims to create a detailed compendium that will enhance coordination and support for practitioners, fostering a stronger, more resilient Traditional Medicine Community in Lagos State.
