Umar explained that Abdallah’s behaviour towards supporters at the Sani Abacha Stadium contributed to the decision, alongside the team’s poor run of form, with only one win in their last three matches.
“The management was concerned about the team’s inconsistency and the performance level, as supporters expect much more from the squad,” the statement read.
During Abdallah’s suspension, Chief Coach Ahmed Yaro-Yaro will take charge of the team, supported by assistant coaches Abubakar Musa, Gambo Muhammad, Suleiman Shuaibu, and Ayuba Musa.

Abdallah, who signed a two-year contract with Kano Pillars in August 2024 with an option for a third year, will resume his duties after the suspension.
