According to reports from Sky Sports News, Middlesbrough will have the option to sign Iheanacho permanently once his loan deal expires. This move comes after a tough season for the Super Eagles forward at Sevilla, where he has struggled to make an impact. So far, he has played nine league games without scoring a goal or providing an assist.
Iheanacho is no stranger to the Championship. Last season, he played a key role in Leicester City’s successful promotion back to the Premier League. Middlesbrough, currently in seventh place with 44 points from 29 matches, will hope his experience and talent can help them push for a top-six finish and secure a spot in the playoffs.
