The family of the late Iyalode of Awe, Oyo State, Chief Ayokulehin Anike Omotosho, has released the schedule of events for her funeral.
Eko Hot Blog reports that the program will begin with a lying-in-state ceremony on April 11, 2025, at Elegebde Lane Avenue, starting at 02:00 PM.

A Wake keep/Memorial service is planned for the same day, April 11, 2025, at 04:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Awe, Oyo State.
The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM on April 12, 2025, at the First Baptist Church Awe, with interment to follow immediately after the service.

Lastly, a reception celebrating the life and times of Chief Omotosho will be held at 02:00 PM at St. Joseph Secondary School in Awe, Oyo State.
The esteemed Iyalode lode of Awe, Oyo State, passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 83.
She took her last breath at approximately 10:30 PM at Shekinah Hospital in Oyo, as announced by Alhaja Titilayo Sanusi, the grand Matron of Eko Club in Austin, Texas.

Late Omotosho born into the family of Emmanuel and Comfort Elegbede of Alagbaa compound in Awe land, Afijio Local Government Area of Oyo State on the 27th day of July 1941.
Throughout her distinguished life, the late Chief Mrs. Ayokulehin Anike Omotosho held various significant positions both within Nigeria and internationally. Some of her most notable roles included:
- Oyo State Pilgrimage Board
- Vice President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (NACCIMA)
- Chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce
- Chairperson of the Price Control Unit during Governor Nwosu’s administration in Oyo State
- Chief Executive Officer of LOVY Stores
- CEO of Confirm Pure Water and numerous other businesses
Chief Omotosho leaves behind a remarkable legacy and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and the community she served.
