Eko Hot Blog gathered in a statement released on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, the agency revealed that its officials seized unregistered narcotics, counterfeit GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) medicines, and vaccines stored in unsanitary conditions, including toilets.
As part of the raid, expired condoms originally donated by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) were found illegally repackaged and sold under the brand name “Kiss Condom.”

NAFDAC expressed serious concerns about the health risks posed by these counterfeit and substandard medical products. The agency emphasized its commitment to intensifying crackdowns on illegal drug markets and ensuring the safety of Nigerians.
The operation at Idumota follows similar enforcement actions across the country as part of NAFDAC’s broader effort to eliminate the circulation of fake and expired medicines.
