Pope Francis, who has been battling pneumonia and bronchitis for over three weeks, is responding well to treatment, according to the Vatican.
“The Holy Father’s clinical condition has remained stable in recent days, indicating a positive response to treatment,” the Vatican stated, adding that there has been a “gradual, slight improvement.”

On Saturday morning, the 88-year-old pontiff prayed in the chapel of his papal suite at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital, where he continues to receive care.
He has not been seen in public since his admission on February 14, marking his longest absence from public life since the start of his papacy 12 years ago.
Pope Francis was initially hospitalised due to breathing difficulties and was first treated for bronchitis before doctors diagnosed pneumonia in both lungs.
