Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has warned the United States and its allies not to take any military action against the country. While making it clear that Iran does not want a war, Khamenei said that the nation would respond strongly if provoked.
In a message posted on the social media platform X, the 85-year-old leader said, “War isn’t good,” but he also warned that any aggressive action from the United States or its allies would be met with a firm and definite response.

He further stated that if the US or its partners make any wrong military move against Iran, they will suffer the greatest loss.

This warning comes as tensions continue to rise between Iran and the United States over Iran’s nuclear program. The US government is urging Iran to stop developing nuclear weapons and has warned of serious consequences if Iran continues.
Recently, former US President Donald Trump sent a letter to the Iranian government about the country’s nuclear program. This letter was sent after the US Department of State announced new sanctions as part of its “maximum pressure” strategy to force Iran to stop its nuclear activities.
Speaking from the Oval Office last week, Trump said he would prefer a peaceful resolution to the conflict but hinted that stronger measures could be taken if necessary. He mentioned that something significant could happen soon in response to reports that Iran is increasing its uranium enrichment, which is a critical step in developing nuclear weapons.
Tensions between the two countries have remained high for years, especially after the United States withdrew from the 2015 nuclear agreement, which was designed to limit Iran’s nuclear activities in exchange for lifting economic sanctions. Since then, both sides have engaged in a series of confrontations, including military incidents and diplomatic disputes.
Iran has repeatedly said that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, but the US and its allies remain skeptical. They believe that Iran is secretly working toward developing nuclear weapons, which could threaten stability in the Middle East.
Despite the rising tensions, Khamenei emphasized that Iran is not looking to start a war. However, he warned that if any country takes aggressive action against Iran, the response would be swift and severe.
