It used to be common for footballers in the Premier League to receive a bottle of champagne when they were named Man of the Match. These days, they usually get a small trophy instead.
However, Norwegian club Bryne FK has taken a different approach. They now reward their best player with a unique prize—eggs!

Bryne FK, the team where Manchester City star Erling Haaland started his career, recently returned to Norway’s top division after 21 years. In their first match back, they lost 1-0 to Bodo/Glimt, a team that reached the Europa League quarter-finals.
Despite the defeat, their goalkeeper, Jan de Boer, had an outstanding game. He made several great saves, including stopping a penalty. As a reward, he received four trays of eggs.

The club has strong ties to local farming, which focuses on meat and dairy production. Their fans even chant, “We are farmers, and we are proud of it!” during matches. Some supporters can also watch games from a tractor as part of a special VIP experience.
